How to Book Flights on Expedia

Booking a flight has become a lot easier these days. With the help of the internet, you can simply book your flight online plus you can easily compare travel airfares of the different airlines through the airline’s website or from the various travel agencies online. Expedia, an internet based travel reservation website, allows you to book flights online in the most convenient way possible.

To book a flight with Expedia, go to Expedia.com. At the left side of the page you’ll find the Build Your Trip corner where you can start your booking. Tick the Flight button, and then choose the flight type you are taking – if it’s round trip, one-way, or multiple destinations. Then, indicate your place of departure and/or return (whatever is appropriate depending on the type of flight you are taking). After which, choose your date of travel, and the number of people travelling – the number of adults, seniors or children. You also get to choose your preferred airline as well as the class of flight whether economy, business or first. After doing so, click Search for Flights.

A new page will open that says Build your own trip. This allows you to choose a departing and returning flight from among the list of available flights of your chosen date. The site also shows you the corresponding travel airfares per aircraft. Click Choose a departing flight and/or Choose a return flight; it will open a new page, Flight Details. Here, you get to see the total amount to pay for your trip. Also, you get to review your flight details and the flight rules and restriction. Then, tick the “I have read and accepted the rules and restrictions” box, and click “Continue with booking”.

Expedia sign-in page will open showing you options to sign in. If you already have an account with Expedia, you may choose to sign in using your existing account. Or you may create a new account if you don’t have one yet. Also, you may choose to continue your booking as a guest. Just fill up the form with the information required and click once again the box that says, I have read and accepted the terms and conditions. Then, click Continue.

The new page, Enter Traveller Name, will require you to enter the details of the traveller/s. Then, click “Enter traveller and continue check out”. This will open another page, the Trip Preferences, which gives you the option to rename your saved itinerary and at the same time specify your flight preferences. After entering the required details, click “Proceed to booking”. It will open a new page about your Billing and delivery information. This page shows you your trip summary, and as you scroll down, you will see a brief instruction about the use of your Expedia e-ticket. And then, you’ll find the payment method. Enter your billing information, then click “Complete this booking”. The next page shows you the lists of all your confirmation numbers and ticket information, and you are good to go.

Make sure to have a print out of your ticket and Expedia confirmation numbers and bring it with you on your trip. Not only is booking made easy through Expedia, it also offers travel airfares at a reasonable price.
