Booking a flight has become a lot easier these days. With the help of the internet, you can simply book your flight online plus you can easily compare travel airfares of the different airlines through the airline’s website or from the various travel agencies online. Expedia, an internet based travel reservation website, allows you to book flights online in the most convenient way possible.

To book a flight with Expedia, go to Expedia.com. At the left side of the page you’ll find the Build Your Trip corner where you can start your booking. Tick the Flight button, and then choose the flight type you are taking – if it’s round trip, one-way, or multiple destinations. Then, indicate your place of departure and/or return (whatever is appropriate depending on the type of flight you are taking). After which, choose your date of travel, and the number of people travelling – the number of adults, seniors or children. You also get to choose your preferred airline as well as the class of flight whether economy, business or first. After doing so, click Search for Flights.

A new page will open that says Build your own trip. This allows you to choose a departing and returning flight from among the list of available flights of your chosen date. The site also shows you the corresponding travel airfares per aircraft. Click Choose a departing flight and/or Choose a return flight; it will open a new page, Flight Details. Here, you get to see the total amount to pay for your trip. Also, you get to review your flight details and the flight rules and restriction. Then, tick the “I have read and accepted the rules and restrictions” box, and click “Continue with booking”.

Expedia sign-in page will open showing you options to sign in. If you already have an account with Expedia, you may choose to sign in using your existing account. Or you may create a new account if you don’t have one yet. Also, you may choose to continue your booking as a guest. Just fill up the form with the information required and click once again the box that says, I have read and accepted the terms and conditions. Then, click Continue.

The new page, Enter Traveller Name, will require you to enter the details of the traveller/s. Then, click “Enter traveller and continue check out”. This will open another page, the Trip Preferences, which gives you the option to rename your saved itinerary and at the same time specify your flight preferences. After entering the required details, click “Proceed to booking”. It will open a new page about your Billing and delivery information. This page shows you your trip summary, and as you scroll down, you will see a brief instruction about the use of your Expedia e-ticket. And then, you’ll find the payment method. Enter your billing information, then click “Complete this booking”. The next page shows you the lists of all your confirmation numbers and ticket information, and you are good to go.

Make sure to have a print out of your ticket and Expedia confirmation numbers and bring it with you on your trip. Not only is booking made easy through Expedia, it also offers travel airfares at a reasonable price.

There is an art to packing your suitcase to avoid wrinkled clothes. Pack light and take only what you need and you will enjoy your trip much more

Many people enjoy going places. Along with this desire to travel to different places comes the necessity to pack your luggage. With heightened travel security and airline baggage restrictions learning to pack wisely is important. Choose your travel wardrobe carefully.

Overall, you will find your trip much more pleasant if you have less baggage to carry. Here now comes the question: Won’t I ruin my clothes if I pack them along with all my other stuffs in one bag? It is a common concern among people, especially to those who are traveling for business. Wrinkled clothing doesn’t make much of a good impression, and you wouldn’t want to be in a business meeting wearing a wrinkled dress. Here are three very simple wrinkle-free travel packing tips:

Roll your clothes. Rolled clothes are less likely to get wrinkled. You can roll your jeans by folding it lengthwise, and starting from the cuff, roll your way up.

Fold buttoned blouses or shirts. The best way to pack buttoned clothes without getting wrinkled after a long trip is to fold it square-fold style. Before placing clothes in the suitcase, make sure that all buttons, and zippers are fastened. Lay shirts face down on a bed or flat surface. Smooth away wrinkles. Then, fold material in at the shoulders laying arms flat along the body so that there is a roughly two-inch overlap of material on both sides. Next, fold up a third of the material from the bottom and overlap a third from the top.

Use plastic zipped bags. To save your clothes from being ruined, make sure you have put your toiletries in a plastic bag, this way in case your toothpaste leaks, your clothes are still safe. Place socks inside of shoes and then place the shoes in a plastic bag to protect your clothes from becoming soiled. If you are going to only take a carry-on bag, you need to carefully plan what goes in your bag. Be aware of TSA regulations and follow the 3-1-1 rule, liquids and gels have to be less than 3.4 ounces (100 ml) and be placed in a one quart clear plastic zip lock bag and one bag is allowed per passenger.

Arrange all items in the bag. Once you are done rolling, folding, and putting inside the plastic all your travel things, layer them carefully inside your bag. Your toiletries occupy the bottom part of your bag, and then your folded clothes are stacked in the middle. The rolled ones occupy the spaces at the side of the bag around the folded clothes.

Pack your bag fairly tight, but not overly packed. And last to these travel packing tips is make everything inside fit, allowing no space. As much as possible, occupy every possible space in the bag to keep your things from moving or mixing up.

These are just the simplest, conventional ways of a wrinkle-free packing. Nowadays, however, there are already improvised products such as wrinkle-free sprays, or pack-a-shirt folders. They offer travel packing tips that come along with the product. If you are a frequent traveler, you may want the comfort of packing your things with those products in the market, or you can choose to master the skill of rolling and folding your clothes whenever you travel.

Frequent travelers will find many online stores which specialize in clothes and other accessories the can be packed wrinkle free and also clothes that can be mixed and match and serve more than one purpose. One suggestion might be long pants that have zippers so the lower portion can be removed if the temperature goes up and you would be more comfortable in shorts.

Pack light, pack wise, and enjoy your trip.

If you plan to travel abroad, you better take into consideration checking out what items you are allowed to bring for an international flight before even packing your things. It is best to consider some international travel tips before heading to your destination. For one, you can check if your baggage doesn’t contain any item that may belong to the so called Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) that have already been restricted for international flights. You wouldn’t want to end up leaving some of your stuff at the airport security because you are not allowed to check it in with you.

This goes without saying that, paying attention to some international travel tips, which you might have stumbled upon right now, can be very helpful. Knowing the what-not-to-bring items for an international trip leaves you free of hassle during check-in. The Civil Aviation Regulations have restricted transport of items classified as dangerous or hazardous.

Here is a detailed list of restricted items as identified by the U.S. Transportation and Security Association (TSA). The same restrictions are implemented by most, if not all, international airlines around the world.

Explosives such as blasting caps, dynamite, fireworks, flares in any form, hand grenade, plastic explosives, and realistic replicas of explosives are not allowed. Flammable items like aerosol, fuels, lighters, and strike anywhere matches are also prohibited. Same goes for guns and firearms

Disabling Chemicals and other Dangerous items which include fire extinguishers and other compressed gas cylinders, and spillable batteries, except those in wheel chairs, are not allowed. Sharp Objects such as ice axes, ice picks, knives except for plastic or round bladed butter knives are forbidden, except for safety razors.

Sporting Goods such as baseball bats, bows and arrows, cricket bats, golf clubs, hockey sticks, lacrosse sticks, pool cues, ski poles, and spear guns are also barred from international travel.

Meanwhile, martial arts and self-defense items such as pepper sprays; as well as tools including hatchets, cattle prods, and crowbars are allowed for check-in but not for carry-on.

With the above list, you are now sure to pack right and avoid check-in delays that may be caused by innocence – or ignorance – of airport policies and restrictions. While these restrictions may be common to most international airlines, some may have stricter or less strict regulations. It is always best to equip yourself with some international travel tips before your trip abroad, so that you are less likely to encounter problems and delays.
